Dreams don't always last

The Artist

Scott’s photography journey kicked off at a very young age. When he was just 5 years old, he was introduced to the Film Industry when he was an actor on the television series, “Touched By an Angel.” His love for film and photography was created on that set. Fast forward several years, Scott worked on the movie series, “Liken the Scriptures” as a production assistant and actor, which expanded his skills in the Film Industry. Fast forward a couple more years and that’s when a DSLR was introduced to Scott by his father, a Director of Photography by living. At the age of 14, Scott put a Nikon D70 up to his eye and took his first photo.  At that moment, Scott knew he wanted to be a photographer, just like his dad.

Scott’s love for wildlife, and black and white photography, developed while shooting a series of Black & White photos for the Science Fair. Those photos, taken years ago, gave Scott the inspiration to do his Photography III project on abandoned homes, with the effect of B&W.

Scott’s love for horror movies combined with his passion for black & white photography, gave him the inspiration for this most recent project, depicting a mysterious and chiller feel. He increased the ISO so he didn't have to use a flash, which added a little grain to the photos, giving them a creepy look. Crushing the blacks added the extra drama Scott was looking for.
